Message: OUR STATUS:
In our Journey of Faith over the past 24 years as
LJCCC the Lord had planned and ordained and
therefore called
us to be :
(a) “The Light of Jesus Christ!”
(This is God’s plan = OUR MISSION &
FINAL “DESTINATION”)
2)In our Journey of Faith, where are we now in 2007 … What is our status?
(i) WE ARE SHINNING ONLY AT 50% brightness!
(Message learnt from the malfunctioning of
3 our of 6 florescent bulbs at Retreat place)
NB: THE LORD WANTS US 100%
“ABLAZE …like a BRIGHT LIGHT”!
(Is 62:1)
(ii) (Mk 2:1-12):
We are spiritually “paralysed”
like the man
in the Gospel being carried to Jesus.
NB: Even if we are 50% paralysed, we are still
bed-ridden and non-functional!
GOD WANTS US TO BE 100%
HEALTHY & WHOLE !
GOD’S PLAN: “I WILL NOT REST UNTIL …. (Is 62:1)
GOD WANTS TO ACCOMPLISH / FULFILL
His Plan for LJCCC FOR HIS GLORY & HONOUR
by:
a) Healing us of our personal or
corporate “paralysis”
b) Restoring LJCCC from spiritual Bankruptcy
(NO WINE / JOY / NO
VICTORY / “FORSAKEN”)
to a new status and …. Being called
..
“God’s Delight” (Is 62:4a)
“the Bride” of the Lord! (Is 62:5)
the “Best Wine”!
(Jn 2:1-12)
“the Wedded”! (Is 62:4b)
“the
New Wine” & “Fresh Wine Skins” (Mk 2:22)
NB: “Place of Rest” is mentioned 6 times! (Heb 4:1-11)
It means God will fulfill/accomplish what
He has promised!
HOW WILL GOD ACCOMPLISH HIS PLAN?
(i) BY HIS HOLY SPIRIT:
God will empower us to live the “Life in the Holy Spirit” and equip
us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit for Christian ministries in the building up of the Body of Christ
(1 Cor 12:1-30)
(ii) BY THE WORD OF GOD:
(Psalm 19 & Heb 4:12-14)
(a) When we live (obey) the Word of God, the Holy Trinity
lives in us and we are in Holy Communion with God (Jn15-31)
(b) The Word of God is Active and Alive
(c) We are called to be the “Living” Word (Heb 4:12)
(d) Jesus spoke the Word, and the paralysed man
was healed … and water changed
to wine!
(Mk 2:11-12), (Jn 2:7-9)
(iii) A LIFE OF PRAYER:
(Mk 2:1-12 & Jn 2:1-12)
Like Jesus “the Supreme High
Priest” (Heb 4:14-16).
Like Mary, we must always have a spirit of
prayer and intercession ! (Jn 2:2-3)
and
be a “LINK” … or HIGHWAY To Jesus.
Like the 4 men who carried the paralysed man to Jesus,
we
are called to “carry” others in prayer to Jesus.
In order to do that effectively, our lives, like Jesus, must
be founded in a prayer/communion relationship
with the Father (Mk 2:3-4)
NB: The Holy Spirit will teach us to pray (Rom 8:26)
